Proceeds benefit the Foundation for the Children of the Californias in our efforts to ensure that every child has access to quality health care.
Thanks to three visionaries from Mexico, Canada, and the United States, a tri-national foundation is created in 1990 to address the lack of affordable pediatric medical specialty care in the mega-region of San Diego and Tijuana. In 1994, the foundation raised sufficient funds to open Hospital Infantil, in a 1,200 sq. ft. space fondly referred to as “the casita”.
Today, Hospital Infantil is a 56,000 sq. ft. facility offering more than 25 pediatric specialties and access to a playground, a pharmacy, and secure off-street parking. Hospital Infantil provided accessible healthcare for 8,517 children in 2021 alone despite the COVID 19 pandemic. The children need our help now more than ever.
