Tatiana Martínez is president and founder of Tamar Communications a company dedicated to developing content for use in media interviews, presentations, and community forums.
She has been involved with many local companies including San Diego Gas & Electric, the San Diego Museum of Art, La Jolla Playhouse, USD School of Business, the New Americans Museum, among others, to engage community members in the various programs offered by these institutions.
As a media communication expert, she has collaborated with the City of Chula Vista, Unidos US Annual Conference 2019, Tijuana Innovadora and Latin American Art Festival, for the development of new campaigns, messages, and background information to be used in marketing, media interviews, and other public forums.
She has extensive experience coordinating with international media outlets through the development of key messages and talking points, the creation of collateral material in order to achieve a successful dissemination and understanding of the importance of the plans and/or events being promoted.
Tatiana has managed marketing efforts for the most influential cultural institution in northwest Mexico, Centro Cultural Tijuana, CECUT; directed the initiative to bring influential San Diego leaders to the internationally acclaimed conference Tijuana Innovadora; worked as a news correspondent and anchor for some of the country’s leading media companies, such as Televisa, Radio Formula, W Radio, Univision Radio Los Angeles; and wrote for various Tijuana’s newspapers and magazines.
She has lived in San Diego and Tijuana for 30 years and has dedicated her life to telling cross-border stories. A graduate of the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara, her native city, she also studied journalism at the University of Arizona and holds a Post-graduate Certificate in México-US border studies from the COLEF and the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies.
